Come to the edge, and let the sea do the rest.
A small retreat of stone and linen on the northern coast, for people who need to stop.
The last part of the road is gravel, and that is the point.
You arrive frayed by a full life. You step out of the car, and the noise falls away. We built this place slowly, leaving the wild as we found it, offering only what you need to remember yourself. No schedules, no pressure, just the sound of the wind and the steady rhythm of the tide.
Where you stay.
Oak, limewash, and the weight of a linen robe. A fire laid and ready to light. The bed turned toward the window, the sound of the tide pulling through the glass at night. Nothing extra, only the things that matter.
The Ocean Suite
Corner views of the headland, a deep soaking tub in the window, and a private terrace above the shoreline.
The Courtyard Room
Opening onto the walled garden. Morning sun, rough-hewn stone walls, and absolute quiet.
The Headland Loft
Set into the roofline. Vaulted oak ceilings, a wood-burning stove, and a vantage point over the wild water.
What the kitchen does with what the coast gives it.
A long table, a fire, the slow breakfast in morning light. Bread pulled from the oven, wine from the valley behind us. Honest food, meant to be eaten slowly, crafted from whatever the local farms and waters provide that day.
There are no menus to navigate. You sit down, and we bring you the season.
The cliff path curving away from the door.
A boat on the sound. Foraging along the shoreline. The stars with no town to dim them. The landscape asks nothing of you, but offers everything if you choose to step out into it.
Or beautifully, it holds nothing at all. An afternoon in a chair with a book, watching the fog roll in, wrapped in a blanket while the fire burns down.
Attentive, unobtrusive, human.
The fire already lit. The right thing arriving before you ask. We are here to ensure you have what you need, and to leave you to the quiet when you do not. The care that makes this a retreat and not a hotel.
The return to yourself.
You arrive depleted. The place and the sea do their slow work. You leave with more room inside you, a little of the coast’s slowness folded into your luggage.
